Yesterday Microsoft changed the .NET news groups
From: microsoft.public.net.*
To: microsoft.public.dotnet.*
The reason cited was that the general public was confused by .NET thinking that it was for general internet questions.
On this topic, the names C#, ASP+, COM+, .NET are all problematic for webpages, newsgroups and general usuage.
www.c#.comwww.asp+.comwww..net.comwww.com+.comare all illegal URLs, not to mention Usenet names. Check out this sentence. "Joe, we are going to start using .Net." <--huh?
