FYI - The ORCA app in on the Platform SDK CD.

>This is a known problem with VSI. You have to go to the Microsoft web site and download a utility called ORCA. This will allow you to modify some settings in the installer that you can't modify in the development environment.

>I don't have the exact URL, but if you go there and search for 'ORCA' you should find something.

>>I am trying to use the Visual Studio Installer and have run into a problem. I am trying to create shortcuts on the desktop and in the start menu when I install, but the shortcuts it creates are invalid. They point to my program but aren't starting in the right directory, so the thing doesn't work. When I look at the properties of the created shortcut, the Target and Start In fields are empty and disabled. I can't change them!

>>I've read through the documentation in the VFP VSI white paper as well as through all the help files for VSI and I can't find anything referencing this. Have I missed something obvious? Is this a problem anybody else is having, or is anybody else even using this installer to distribute things?
>>
>>On a related note, is it possible to allow the user to change the folder created in start menu? This is a feature of virtually every other installer I have seen, VSI doesn't seem to have it though.

>>Thanks for the help.
