Yes, there is editing going on. Now here's something that may apply: Did you know that opening a Word document for edit via DoVerb or Double-click in an OLEBoundControl and will cause GETFLDSTATE to be set to modified for the General field?

This means you should TABLEREVERT or TABLEUPDATE the table or view after allowing editing even if nothing was changed.

And this may explain your problem: If the same view or table or view base table is opened elsewhere and not buffered.....

In my case, I use in-place activate. And I force a TABLEUPDATE or REVERT before allowing any record change due to what I mentioned before.
