I have a grid with a column Description. The control source for this column is a memo field. I need to display the first 80 characters of the memo content on the description column of the grid.

I did use the SUBSTRC() function to get the first 80 characters in a view field. It is working when I tried running the view alone. But when I ran through the form the Description column of the grid shows only the first character of the field value.

Can anybody know how to resolve this?
