It sure would be nice to add your own variable[s] to the list of system variables whenever you launch VFP. Having these variables available during development and not subject to loss when you CLEAR ALL or RELEASE ALL.

A prime example for me would be to have a line or 2 in my VFPStart.prg to create a variable called _UNC which defines a UNC path to my data on the server. Then all I have to do is CD (_UNC). This is much easier that CD \\r6rbs01\vol2\apps\water\myapp\data

Anyone know if this can be done?
