Yes, I tried the lostfocus, but the sketch app which is being called is 16 bit and does not support in-place activation, so the lostfocus does not necessarily fire when the sketch app is closed -- it depends on what the user is doing. Possibly there is an API function which would be useful here?

The root of all this is that the user needs to be able to view & print the sketch as part of a VFP report. The most recent version of the sketch program allows the user to save a jpg whenever a sketch is saved (the jpg is supposed to have the same name as the sketch, with a .jpg extension), but since the sketch file disappears into the general field where it is stored, there doesn't seem to be any way of getting the name of the jpg file, which seems to be generated by the sketch app. The sketch app doesn't use the same name as the file name stored in the general field.
