>Is it planned to add VFP to the CLR?
>Charlie

Hey Charlie,

FWIW, I attended a TechNet presentation of VS .Net (nee VS7) about a month ago. I hung around afterwards to ask about VFPs inclusion in CLR specifically. The presenters response was a rather confident matter-of-fact "sure, it'll be in there. It's just not done yet" and went on to remind me that the VS that was being presented that day was a mere "pre-alpha", and further, that the key to CLR is "ECMA compliance." i.e. any ECMA (European Community Manufacturer's Association) would eventually be accomodated (assimilated? heh-heh).
A CLR routine that made a call to a COBOL routine was demonstrated and got some applause from the poor suckers that still have to support stuff like that in their IT departments. We also saw a call to a Perl routine. But I would like to know if CLR is going to be small EXE, big memory, etc. And it would seem to be deliberately goofy for VFP not to be included in CLR by the release of VS .NET since we've all witnessed the "Create a VFP COM" selection in the VS .NET IDE already. MS would dare to anything goofy, would they? :-)
