IMHO, this is not an issue if you only want to hide your code. Refoxing Fox Application is not 100% "AS IS". Besides, code out of reverse engineering is not enough to understand the entire application. No question about VC, but if you don't have the proper foundation yet, it will take you sometime before you could do a modest database application. VC to me is good for utilities which are out of reach when using FOX.
