>I've never designed a Web site, I figure it's about time to start :-). Any recommendations on tools and books greatly appreciated.
THERE IS NO, I REPEAT, NO single tool that I have found. You will just have to do some try it and buy it stuff. Craig is correct, you will have to learn some javascript in order to do ANY client side validation. You should have no problem with the VBscript stuff for server side stuff, if you decide to use any ASP on your site. Maybe dot net will tie a few things together that have been catch as catch can before. After playing with the frame work, that you can download I'm fairly impressed. Speed is up and coding is down. Cold fusion will allow you to do a lot of simple things really fast but is SLOW and limiting once you get into more heavy duty queries and stuff. I like GOlive for HTML and DHTML. Their table editor is worth the price of the program. Visual Interdev is great for the javascript stuff because of the intellisense, other that that its pretty useless as far as I'm concerened. It also Dead for the future.
