Not by choice, but sometimes by necessity. Old laptop, eagerly awaiting replacement is 640 only. Old cheap monitor on one of my homebrew servers is 640 only. Monitor at a couple of customer locations is 640 only (mostly still running DOS apps, but I can logon Internet from there to check UT and email).

It's really annoying that even with graphics turned off, the lower-left quadrant does not fully show.
