I've seen a lot of posts about decompilers and their ability to get at the source code for any version of VFP. I'm wondering - if you delete the source from the METHOD field of the VCX, will the decompiler still be able to undo the compile?
We used to do this at my last job because we sent out the vcx's to clients instead of building an exe every time. We had a production area and a development area - and when we got ready for a class to go out, we ran through a process that replaced all the code in the class files with '*'. That way we could at least get the line where an error occurred - leaving the development files intact.
We also only sent .fxp's for programs. The only things that were unchanged were reports - all our forms were class based.
Just wondering...
