Sometimes you just have to laugh...

I started a training class in ASP development this morning being given on site here at work. As a way to get started, the instructor asked everyone to state their current programming skills. When my turn came around, of course I mentioned that I was a Visual FoxPro developer. Before I could mention anything else the instructor said
"Do they actually pay you for that?"
Of course, everyone laughed (me being one of two VFPers in the room) thinking the instructor was making a joke. I thought he was making a joke (albeit a lame one) as well until I looked up and noticed he was very serious and was sincerely interested in the answer.
My reply was "Yes, they pay me. Do they actually pay ASP instructors?".

I thought this was a perfect example the level of ignorance out there in regards to VFP (but I'm sure we've all been there).

Guess the persecution will never end!
