Also consider what you can do with AvantGo. Depending upon your needs, it may be cost-free. I expose much of my data to the client through the web in their browser. They can specify the web address of the data in the AvantGo client, so when they synch in the morning it updates the web pages containing the data on their handheld. I also use data entry forms, which are accessible on the palm. The only drawback is that the data is not updated in their tables until they re-sync with the web page. Security can be handled through URL embedding of access codes.

Avant-Go has more sophisticated stuff to offer, but at a price. You can do the above for free.

I'd hate to have to create and maintain two sets of code for handhelds - this method allows you to maintain once for WinCE, Palm AND Internet. I use Web Connect for the web components, which are written in VFP.
