I'm not sure if this will help, but it may be wise to check the percentage of resources used when the VFP App is running. Sometimes, other apps will not respond to commands that are memory intensive (copy and paste is memory intensive) when VFP is running if the App has not been optimized to use the least amount of resources possible. FoxPro does have a somewhat checkered history as a resource hog. And WordPerfect has a history of missing the boat concerning Windows.
