In fact, we have never kicked anyone, banned anyone, or even prevented them from talking. Yes, occaisionally people who flooded the channel were automatically kicked, but we restored their rights immediately and turn that feature off. We even setup scripts so that Evan and Michel were automatically Opped upon connection.

Yeah, it's cute, and fine for people who really don't know what IRC is, but let's face it, if the UT Chat is meant to actually be a source of discussion, the Java interface can't cut it.

I just heard about that today. We're working on it to try to see why using standard IRC is not working. Of course, it's always funny to see reaction as if it was intentional. It shouldn't be long before we find the reason...
