Well, my point was (and still is) that not everyone shares your opinion. You seem to find this hard to believe. But trust me, it's true. (for the record, I DO share your opinion, but many folks do not)
Anyway, if the DE works for you, great. You were wondering why some people don't use it in forms -- and mainly, it's personal preference for coding over visual manipulation, and to some degree, the desire to re-use data-environment-like objects for multiple forms.
