>>>I am using the setup wizard to create install disks for my application but how can you get it to include a shortcut on the desktop when the install program is run?
>>
>>Because of limitations of the VFP setup wizard, you would have to have the wizard run a post-setup executable to do this for you. I think Goerge Tasker has a DLL in the Files section that you can use in your executable to do this, and I bet he or Ed Rauh have examples using the WSH. Ed has many WSH links in his UT signature block. Just click on any of his replies to see the links.

>Seriously, there's MS KB article Q244677 on the subject (and it's in VFP). Psst! It also has info on the WSH

You might also want to look into using the Visual Studio Installer from http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/downloads/vsi11/default.asp to do your installations. You need to download the Merge Modules from http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?URL=/library/techart/usingvsi.htm for the VFP6SP3 runtime files.
