I'm so sick off hearing this kind of argument about VFP's place in this world- I know - "...then don't read 'em".

Well with all due respect, who cares where VFP fits in this world?

To those who fear for the future of VFP, start learning something else or get out of the business. VFP is great, but not the answer to everything.
