Agreed. We're not saying don't use composite classes. Just like I won't say don't use gasoline. There are inherent problems with both (of course VMP won't cause 3rd degree burns <g>). There is a particular design involved with any composite class (just like the human composite). You have to remember that Drew built in many ways to override the behaviors of the buttons on the forms. I build my systems completely with frmDEGridNav2Pages. My clients like the interface and despite some people's opining that they're boring, they are easy to learn and easy to build and powerful too.

Maybe if you explain what you're trying to make, we can discuss how to make it.
