In order to use a JPEG in a General field, you must ensure that an application has been installed as an OLE Server for JPEG files on each workstation; by itself, Windows does not install a JPEG server app. I advise you to install the same OLE server for JPEGs on all workstations running the app so that all the stations handle JPEGs consistently.
