>i want my application to be windows modal (is there a term like that?). Becauseour school laboratory is not networked(kinda backwards).I want to log every user everytime windows boots and until they input the right password (from the vfp table) they won't be able to use the windows environment.

Rather than that, implement User Profiles and the Microsoft Zero Administration Kit, and force users to log on through the Windows logon dialog. VFP doesn't have the necessary ability to hook various Windows functionalities by itself; there are lots of ways around a non-shell application. ZAK should provide the necessary controls, and user profiles will allow each user to have a separate Start menu and Desktop.
