I used to avoid this problem in FP26 with a function called OpenTbls, that took a delimited list of tables and opened them if they weren't open. I just made it a habit to put a call to OpenTbls before each SELECT statement, listing all tables used in the SELECT statement. Since I don't use browses in VFP, and rarely write SQL queries (lots of views) I haven't really had that problem in VFP.

>>If I issue the command BROWSE and no table is selected, The open table Dialog appears. Good idea, but I am running Westwind Web Connection and when( and if) This happens, It will bring down the whole server(Blocks requests). How do I incorporate this into my error routine ?
