Don't waste your breath. John wasn't around when you had to teach power users the "dot prompt". So you're arguing against ignorance. And you can't have a rational debate when the other side has no basis of experience.

He doesn't understand why to some of us, a FPW/FPD upgrate to Access makes sense without some deeper, darker purpose which is his misattribution. And he's using that lack of understanding to attack on other issues rather than simply agree that your opinion may have some merit (God forbid, John is wrong about something).
