ActiveX controls
Does any one know of an easier why to build a setup file for a ActiveX control then using the LPK tool and the VB deployment wizard.
I use InstallShield for normal windows apps. My company wants to build a Intranet and they want my current apps converted to Web apps.
They want the same look and feel so I got them to standerdise on IE5.
I will build the apps as ActiveX controls.
I want the Web page the controls are on, to check if the control on the client PC is newer, if not I want an automatic install of the newest version.
Am I going about this all wrong ?
The ActiveX controls work fine and to the user their is very little difference in the look of the app. And I save about 90% of my current code.
Thanks
