Hey Michael,
>But Eric, do you really think it would be useful without somehow including all the specifications for all the pending applications in the world. After all, we wouldn't want to steer someone toward VFP when it would make better sense to use RPG400 on an AS400 for a 2 man insurance office. Sorry, I get cynical on Fridays because the weekend doesn't last long enough.

If your refering to my suggestion of a "Who's Using VFP"-type doc, my thinking there is simply a reference list - no pursuation intended. FWIW, I'd really like to just phone up an IT dept and ask someone if they could discuss something about the usage of VFP or whatever they are using, how they've evolved to that point, etc. If they mention RPG400/AS400 then hang up!! (just kidding)

Don't you ever wish you could get a synopsis/retrospective on various projects? Did you ever see that PBS (I think) documentary about the building of the 777 aircraft? That sort of thing...If you knew where to begin, you could do your own research...

Some other forum might wanna maintain an RPG reference list. Anyone for Empire? Neet3? Mumps? VB? heh-heh

Meanwhile, I hope you have a good long weekend - Enjoy!!

Later, Steven-

>>>do you think these response(those that actually answer the originators question) would make a good doc for future reference?

>>
>>Sure- I think that there are a few of these laying around somewhere already, but there is no such thing as a comprehensive list.
>>
>>Anyone here is free to compiled the responses in that thread into a document and post the document here on the UT.
