>One of my clients has installed my VFP 6 program and is getting an Active Desktop error when they try and run my program. The "illegal Program operation" error comes up in a "Explorer" dialogue box. When they go on, the VFP app seems to run fine, but then when they exit, the desktop has the "restore active desktop" screen for wall paper.

I have had the same experience on three different PCs running Win98. I only experience this when I try to run a SDI (Single Document Interface) style exe, so I think it has something to do with SCREEN = OFF in Config.fpw and maybe ShowWindow = 2 in the form. I'm running VFP6, SP3. I asked about this in a thread a couple of days ago, but didn't get any answers. Typically I get this when trying to start the EXE by double clicking on it, but I have also gotten this when Explorer is not in use.

I have seen this in my own programs, programs written by others with the same framework and by others not using frameworks at all.

Please let me know if you find anything, and I will keep looking too.
