The specific window that I would like to suppress is the window that displays

Printing. . .

with a cancel box, a foxpro icon and displays right in the center of the window, and pauses the
system while printing.

I do not believe this is a windows message window since it has a foxpro icon on it. I would be happy to
keep the window if I could change the icon displayed on it.

>I don't know of a way to surpress the Printing message, it comes from the print manager in windows. As for etc. I can't say because I don't know which messages it refers to. SET NOTIFY OFF will surpress many of the messages, as will using your own error handler. For specific messages you would need to tell us which message it is you want to surpress and someone may know how to do it.
