It seems that no-one is winning except microsoft itself. Software Development is not helped, the customers are not helped, We are not helped, etc..
Imagine how the world could have looked like *IF* OS/2 had won the battle against Windows 95, Delphi was THE choice to make general purpose apps, Visual FoxPro (with or without SQL Server) was fairly marketed as a solution for more advanced database solutions than MS access.
