I saw the original and your reply in the other newsgroup. I didn't reply because you did. The guy has now taken an attitude about the whole thing.

If I were you I would dig out Steve McConnell's book Code Complete and find his quote about experienced programmers and beginners and send the quote off to the guy. I don;t have the book readily available right now, but Steve's quote was something like;

I can tell experienced people from beginners because beginners always say "There is a bug in this tool" while experienced programmers ask "What is wrong with my code?"

In truth, I would not reply to the guy again. I don't think he is worth the aggrivation. You are right and others in that thread have proven it already. He is now only waiting to bait you on. Don't give him the satisfaction.
