Ko's advice was exactly what I was going to suggest. Furthermore, the number of notches should represent the number of controls of your containe, so in the InteractiveChange of the slider (I'm using an ActiveX slider, not a scrollbar) you'd simply do
container.controls[this.value].SetFocus
and the corresponding control would get focus, also triggering the positioning code (all of the controls on my container call a certain method to do that). You'll need some tweaking, but that should work.
