I've just installed SQL Server 6.5 WorkStation on my Windows NT WorkStation 4.0. It runs grerat, I can connect from Visual FoxPro 6.0 to it & do queries & so on.

However, I then installed the Client Tools on my Windows 98 SE laptop. The install went ok, but the shortcuts icons that were setup didn't point to their targets correctly. I sorted that out, but I've got the following issues:

I'm unable to use the Enterprise Manager, the following error appears just after the splash form:

"The SQLOLE OLE object could not be registered. Class not registered (80040154)"

Message No 10004 Severity 9 State 0
Also, I get the following error when trying to use ISQL/W on the client:

Unable to connect: SQL Server is unavailable or does not exist. Connection is busy.

This usually happens when I try to use the Security Manager on the client laptop, it crashes & then I have to reboot my NT WorkStation to get the database running again.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,

Andy Crawshaw
