0 menas no update. Pam we're talking about external and remote links rigth ? If you mean values refrencing other sheets like '=mySheet!A2*100' then it's something different. First of all other sheets are gone forever with delete method. You might then however want to use copy() - pastespecial() methods.
Sorry I have no idea about the book. Wish you find all the answers there.
