Hi Rodney,

Usually when we say 'framework' we mean code that we use for multiple applications. VFP 6 builds an application framework through its wizards. However if you write a Main.PRG, add a menu and a couple of forms it's an application not a framework.

If you make the code so generic that you can use it for several apps it's becoming a framework.

Go to a few websites like Visual MaxFrame or Visual ProMatrix or any of the others you can read about doing a brief search here on UT. You'll see what a framework offers - and why a lot of us are more than willing to buy one.

>I'm still not clear on the definition of a framework. If I create a new project, build some forms, menus, a main.prg and so forth, then create an executable out of it, does it have a framework? Did foxpro make a basic framework out of my stuff?
