>I've been playing with this stuff for the last few weeks and it definitely has it's 'this is extremely cool' moments, but then you look back at how long it takes to write those 10 lines of 'cool' code because it's all new and you have to wonder what it would take to build a full scale application that way! It's not like you'll be learning a language, but a very large and complex runtime library.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Rick.

It is surprising how well we can do with pure custom code, light components (foxisapi, your west-wind connection, foxweb) and MS’s own technology (ISAPI, VFP) without going deep and deep into gigabytes of blackbox components and DLL hell.

The FoxPro community against all the odds have demonstrated its vitality with the periodic emergence of enlighten individuals, our very own gurus, which had put us forward with their brilliance, forward thinking and that valiant foxpro-ish ‘it can be done’ attitude.
Lets say Ken Levy with genscreenx and the seeds of the actual VFP’s OOP features, lets say yourself with your products and freeware. Let’s say the UT itself.
And so many others before and now than is impossible to name all here.

So, with CLR or without it, we will be doing great and fast, small, medium and full-scale applications, for long time.
Long live to the marvelous FoxPro community and the FoxPro team!

Looking forward to see you at the DevCon, and thanks again,

...Y soy feliz, bien feliz, asi lo grito;
Mira, que el mundo sepa, que se sepa:
Soy feliz....

...And I'm happy, quite happy, so do I yell it;
Look, so the world knows it, so be known:
I'm happy...
