>For the record, I have never made the assertion that developers that don't learn other tools are "idiots".

This is true. You have not asserted, only insinuated.

>I happen to be of the opinion that Fox is not always the right choice.

I really think you would find it hard for anyone to fully disagree with this statement. Just as VB is not always the right choice. You ruffle people's feathers because you "talk down to them" and the impression of superiority your writing leaves due to your condescending grammatical syntax. BTW, just how tall are you?

>
>Somewhere along the way, I became labeled as this person who is "unfaithful to the community" and that I am "bashing the tool, bashing the community, etc.." I am merely stating my opinions. Like you, I have the right to do so. Again, I do my best to not get personal.

Ironically, you have taken on the label.

>
>I agree that much of this is predicated on emotion. I honestly don't understand why this is an emotional issue.

Like it or not, you are just as emotional about it as everyone else.

>
>My goal in interjecting my opinions is not to bash on a personal level. Rather, my objective is to offer a different viewpoint. My opinion is neither right or wrong. It is just my opinion. It has as much or as little weight as you or others would like to specify.

The way you present your opinion bashes and is far from unbiased.

>
>Disagree with my points all you like. I would ask however that you and others keep the debate on the merits of the debate.

Do you include yourself in this admonishment?

>However, when you hold me accountable for the way in which you choose to >interpret my comments, that is when you cross the line.

Again, do you include yourself in this admonishment? I've always regarded you as one of the great mentalists of the world.

>With me, what you see is what you get. I lay it all out there. I tend to be brutally honest at times. I do that so as to avoid ambiguity.

Most of the time John, you come across as just plain brutal.

In conclusion, John K. has a right to his opinions also. As do I and everyone else. It is just that many are of the opinion you should just go. Many are of the opinion you should look up the meaning of the word 'tact'. Many are of the opinion you should seek counseling. Many are of the opinion you just like to argue. Many are of the opinion you are extremly intelligent and you waste that intelligence in senseless arguement hiding behide a thinly disguised aura of technical perfection. A small handful are of the opinion you are completely right and are simply misunderstood. My opinion is one filled with pity.
