I have to insert actual MS Word 2000 documents into a MSSQL7 database as BLOBs. Can anyone out there offer guidance on making this happen?

My thought was to generate a dbc on the fly, get all the .doc files I need and insert them into a cursor (using general or memo binary fields?), add some stuff to some other columns, create a remote view of the MSSQL7 table, and then scan through my cursor and insert into the view. Is that "the best" way to do that?
