>I think there is a difference here, though. I have a class that allows you to register a new file with the stored table. (Actually, it's a two-field table.) That way, you can just insert another record. If you only have one record, you have to ALTER TABLE. Also, if two people are working on different tables, they don't have to wait for an RLOCK to be released.

Yeah, but the "1/2 dozen" is you don't have to do a search to find the right record! (s)
