Mike,
I had only opened the box on VFP6 10 months before I joined the study group and took the exams. During those 10 months, most of my experience was writing SQL in PRG files and making reports - ie things that were not very different from FPW2.6.
I elected myself the log editor because I knew that was one thing I could contribute to the group.
I can't begin to tell you how beneficial it was. Editing the logs was a great way to go back over it all slowly. I even learned some HTML!

So I don't get the opportunity to experiment with different programming techniques. I am always interested in improving. What I would like to know is. Is there some level of knowledge that is required to get into the certification testing phase? If not, is this a good place for a rookie to look?
