Mike,

mIRC has a logging feature that other chat clients don't. Without the loggin feature there is no log.

Chat logs are not like other Wiki pages. They were horribly slow to load, so I took to hand-coding the HTML links, and using the #NOPARSE directive at the top. The logs are better when care is taken to keep the conversatons together. Everyone talks at once in a chat and they can be hard to follow. Spelling needs to be fixed up, otherwise foreigners, for example, may misinterpret what went on. mIRC puts the names in < >'s. When rendered under a browser, the names disappear. Any other instances of < and > need to be watched. I took out the banter and jokes to keep the signal-to-noise ratio better.

I found that the editing went better when the above tasks were done in a certian more foolproof order.

>Since I've not chatted before, I'll have to get up to speed on that. What do you know about it that I don't know?
