Hey guys thanks for all the info you have given me. I have figured out how to use Access to manage the database and set up security and all that.

All you need to do is to create an Access Project and follow the instructions to create a SQL server Database. The real SQL server database is created and an access project file is created which is used to manage the SQL server database. Everything else is basically the same. I'm doing a thorough search however of the drawbacks of using MSDE.
