The channel can be controled...as far as who can talk in channel...by using the irc command "mode m"...which sets the channel to moderated...and only those ppl with a @ ( ops ) or +v ( voiced )can talk in channel...of course the "mode m"...switch can be turned off at any time too...hope this helps
