I've gotten no response on this so I'm assuming it cannot be done. Nevertheless, if anyone knows for sure I'd appreciate the feedback.

Is it possible to programmatically control the foreground/background colors of the textbox portion ( not the calendar dropdown ) of the MS Date/Time Picker ActiveX control? I see no properties to change.
