1. Create a form (splash) with the image and text on it that you want to see on the splash screen.

2. Add a timer control and set timer interval (in 1/1000 sec) to the time you want the splash screen to remain open.

3. In the timer event method call thisform.release.

4. Add a line to your startup program 'do form splash' at the point you want the splash screen to appear.
