What I mean by SP4 bits is the core SP4 VFP files.

Dave

>I installed from my Visual Studio 6.0 CDs. I tried uninstalling VS, using REGCLEAN, and then reinstalling, and tried to install Service Pack 3 (three) and it does the same thing. I'm not sure what you mean by "SP4 bits". This laptop had SP3 on it before, so my attempt to fix the problem seems to have backfired and now I'm without any SP.

>>I'm trying to put SP4 on a laptop with Visual Studio installed in the "normal" location: C:\PROGRAM FILES\MICROSOFT VISUAL STUDIO\VFP98\, but when I run SETUPSP4.EXE it says "Because setup did not detect any Visual Studio 6.0 products on your system, the service pack will not be installed", and there is no option to "Locate" it. This is on a Windows 2000 system.
