What version of VFP are you using? Versions 5.0 and greater use DLLs for the runtime. Check the System32 directory for VFP6R.DLL, which is the runtime. If it is there, run regedit.exe, hit F3, and search on VFP6R.DLL to see where the registry thinks the runtime is supposed to be.
