It is true And I did not found way to change this other than writing code in Enabled_Assign to do not dissble it really, but just set internal flags (to make it read-only) and set back color to required... It does not works, however, when VFP disables control (for example, when eof() in source table or table closed), because Assign not fired for VFP standard properties in such case.
