OK guys...

It's finally happened to me. I've got a supervisor who wants to rewrite every bit of code we have and migrate to a single environment Dataserver solution.

I've told him that I don't think that's our best choice and that a mixed environment would probably suit us better. (My instincts are screaming that an enterprise wide migration would cause more headaches than could be justified)

He wants, of course, unbiased evidence that VFP can compete with a dataserver solution. He also wants to see something that would give us some relatively simple benchmarks that will help us with the decision making process. He seems to wants to be open-minded, but he wants something concrete, otherwise he'll interpret the whole argument as my opinion vs. his.

My sense is that we need a dataserver to support certain processes but the VFP should be used as the front end application as well as handle much of the smaller database issues.

Where can I gete unbiased and valid evaluations of VFP vs. other database solutions?
