Yeah if it is just a function that just returns different values maybe (one sample only). But what if each form have similar properties but different values. Just like an automobile, similar brand but different colors. We are using a common toolbar publicly utilized by each active form. The toolbar buttons have different behaviour (enable/disable) depending on what form is active. I want to go back and forth in each active form, and the toolbar buttons should behave in accordance with what the form needs. How would you handle this?

Well, in that case, I would have each form take the action that it needs to take... there's no way to reduce the code when dealing with situations with nothing in common....

But if I recall correctly, you said that you were doing a lot of cutting and pasting, and I think you compared it to other languages where you didn't have to.... what are you cutting and pasting in this case, and how would you accomplish it in other languages (if you stick to VFP or Java I can talk the talk).
The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts. - Bertrand Russell
