I strongly suggest that you go to the msdn.microsoft, com site, and look up some rather cogent articles published several months ago on installation and Win2K. Win2K protects its system directories and provides mechanisms for supporting multiple versions of controls and DLLs on an applicationm basis, -if- you play by the rules for installong apps under Win2K, which in reality enforce guidelines introduced several OS versions ago, but now, there are real consequences to playing fast and loose in installation, and cutting corners that the Windows team have been warning us to play nice, and we now pay the piper for not following sound advice because we could get away with being sloppy and cutting corners in the past.
