What I meant was that I would prefer to have something like a Column.MousePointer property (that would affect the entire visible portion of the column). Using the SetSystemCursor() API function is inconvenient because restoring the pointer to its default shape may be unreliable in some cases, which leads to a real inconvenience to the user who might switch to a different application (a Word processor, let's say) where you he/she would expect the MousePointer to be an I-beam.
I might be missing something here, but I still have not found a more convenient apporoach to the issue.
